Welcome to the website for The Royal Montreal Curling Club (RMCC), the oldest active sports club in North America, founded in 1807 and located in downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
The sport of curling has a long and proud history and is renowned for lasting traditions and its strategic play, having been dubbed “chess on ice” by its many fans and practitioners of all ages.
At the Royal Montreal, we are proud of our historical 3-sheet ice rink and of its beautifully arched shed, along with our clubhouse that pays tribute to the history of curling by being home to many historical artefacts of curling.
Recent renewal of our ice-making equipment permits the RMCC to have ice of the highest quality, and the club house is fully equipped with bar and dining facilities allowing us to offer ice rentals to the public, with instruction, dining and bar services made available for private events.
For those who wish to take up curling, the RMCC has a very popular Learn to Curl program which teaches the basics of curling to be able to start curling in a club-level league upon graduating from the program.
Should you be interested in curling or just looking for a winter activity to keep in shape and develop lasting friendships, inquire at The Royal Montreal Curling Club, an RMCC membership just might be what you’re looking for.
