Everyone is eligible to play. Played on Monday nights, the entry list is divided into an appropriate number of teams. Each team plays each other at least once during the season. Curlers rotate positions each week, so even if you are a complete beginner, you will play lead, second, third, and skip in rotation – gaining invaluable experience about how the game is played. Coaching is often provided.

At the end of the season, the team with the most points is the winner of the Oborne “Old Rooster” Trophy. The committee will then determine the play-off format, which determines the winner of the Blacklock Trophy.
